Aeternitas picspam
I don't have any pictures of my supposed Aurora Sinistra costume. Didn't get a chance to take any before leaving home, and taking pictures of myself in a hotel room that's not so well lit is tricky. Nobody seemed to notice I was in fact wearing a costume meant to be looked at (if not easily recognized), anyway, even when I was carrying either of my props around (star globe or collapsible telescope). I did get a few compliments on my hat, though, so apparently I could have saved myself considerable money, time, and grief by just going with that and eschewing the rest of the ensemble. Given that I don't think I am going to try to find room in my budget for any costumes for Lubricus.

Lake Winnipesaukee. That's not an invading fleet of flying saucers in the second pic; I was in the Common Room at the time and those would be the lights reflected in the window glass.
Fireplace in the Common Room.

Outside the main building of the Margate.
The basement hallway - "dungeons" - that had the function rooms. The hotel let them do a considerable amount of decorating.
A pair of Fred and George cosplayers. They had different outfits every day. I didn't get pictures of them all, but here's the Sunday set:
What you can't see there is that "George" is wearing a large rubber left ear with angel feathers surrounding it. What you can see, and which is probably my favourite feature, is the banana in George's pocket.

Rowena Ravenclaw with Alastor Moody photobomb.
Sunset over the lake on Thursday.
At the keynote lunch on Friday.
r_grayjoy, um...
twilightsorcery? maybe? I forget the third person, sorry... and myself started this chain of note cards in the Common Room. Not really sure what is going on in the middle; I think the people who picked it up didn't really get it. Severus saying the Marauders are disgusting for making inappropriately sexual jokes about his Lily is me again, of course. Overall this was not as satisfying as the similar chain at Infinitus.
Speaking of "...that's what SHE said". Studied something under Snape, I'm sure...
Passing over the spelling mistake...

Sunset on Saturday night. It was clearer, but also a lot colder. Someone had a telescope and had it trained on Saturn in the eastern sky, which was pretty cool, although at that magnification the planet is just a white disk with loops on the sides. After a couple hours I wound up changing back into my Hogwarts student ensemble which was three layers including a wool sweater, and thus more suitable for the weather than the acetate satin over net shirt and velvet skirt thing I was wearing.
People doing the "disco slide" (?) at the ball. I am not a dancer so events like this are a bit dull for me unless I get drunk, which I wasn't inclined to do at the time. I have no idea what is going on with all the orbs in the picture. I saw a similar number in someone else's similar ball pic.

Various wall decorations in the hotel.
The "bistro bar" near the pool. The theme drinks were a much better effort than the supposedly similar ones at Azkatraz and Infinitus, possibly because we actually had a geek/fan bartender (apparently somewhat by chance), and he made up stuff.
TROOOLLLLL IN THE DUNGEONS!!!!!!!!!

(Again passing over spelling errors in these next few pics...)

Oh, and of course the set of buttons I took with me:
Welp, that's all the news that's fit to print.
